Chastity has extensive experience working with and representing companies/corporations inside 125+ First Nation communities in British Columbia and several Indigenous communities across Canada and the USA. Chastity has the unique ability to connect with each Indigenous community in a culturally safe, respectful, and integral manner. She has had tremendous success in building strong and meaningful relationships with each Indigenous community that she has had the privilege and honour of working with. Chastity can help your organization build an Indigenous engagement strategy that is rooted in respect and will translate into strong relationships with Indigenous communities.

FACILITATION

Chastity is a highly sought-after facilitator known for her engaging, charismatic and unique approach to working with groups no matter what the size. Chastity’s style is rooted in respectful Indigenous communication protocols and she believes that the answers already exist in the room and can be tapped into with the right environment created for space, creativity, and collaboration. Chastity completed the Co-Active Coaching program with the Coaches Training Institute based out of California, and weaves in her coaching skills with Indigenous communication protocols to co-create an inviting, productive, and creative space with any audience whether it be front-line staff, senior leaders, or politicians. Chastity can help you and your organisation design a caring, energetic, and productive space.

INDIGENOUS HISTORY & CULTURAL AWARENESS TRAINING

Chastity specializes in creating engaging and informative Indigenous history lessons that are customized to fit any government, corporation, community, or not-for-profit organization. She has the unique ability to customize her training sessions to meet employees of all levels where they are at on their learning journey as it pertains to Indigenous Peoples in Canada. Chastity carefully crafts her learning modules to educate, inspire, and enrol her audience into being a meaningful part of the reconciliation movement on the lands now called Canada and beyond. Chastity has led several in-person and online Indigenous History and Cultural Awareness Training sessions for several different government, corporate, Indigenous, and not-for-profit organizations and can deliver customized and impactful Indigenous Cultural Awareness Training sessions for your organization.

Chastity has also developed an online learning hub, called “Deyen – An Invitation to Transform” that includes Indigenous Cultural and Historical training courses that can be taken anytime to fit within any schedule. The courses are self-directed with options to connect live in online dialogue sessions with other learners facilitated by Chastity. The first inaugural training, “Canadian History Through the Lens of Indigenous Women,” includes an interactive curriculum featuring content, videos, journaling, and quizzes. The training modules can be customized for your organization as well as enhanced by in-person mentoring, coaching, and additional training sessions.

RECONCILIATION ACTION PLAN CREATION

Implementation of the 94 Calls to Action, United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), & 231 Calls to Justice, National Inquiry of MMIWG2S+ | Being a Part of the Reconciliation Movement

Chastity has helped several organizations understand the importance of being a part of the reconciliation movement. She starts by explaining the history of Indigenous Peoples on the lands now called Canada to build a strong foundation of knowledge and then builds on that by sharing information and unpacking the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Report including the 94 Calls to Action, the United Nations Declaration the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), and the 231 Calls to Justice from the “Reclaiming Power and Place: The Final Report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.” Chastity strongly advocates for governments, corporations, not-for-profits, and communities to invest meaningfully into creating a Reconciliation Action Plan that is aligned with their organization’s objectives, mandate, and goals. Chastity will guide your organization to understanding its unique role in the reconciliation movement and how best to co-create and chart a respectful and inclusive path forward.

Chastity is one of the most knowledgeable and respected Indigenous woman professionals in western Canada. She has worked with the top levels of government (elected and public service) provincially and federally, corporate executives, Indigenous Leaders (elected, hereditary, community staff), not-for-profit leadership, and grass-roots community members. Chastity is a well-rounded, down-to-earth, educated (western and Indigenous) consultant that has successfully navigated through some of the country’s most complex issues such as resource development, colonial oppression, Indigenous women’s rights, and many more. She doesn’t shy away from conflict and is highly skilled at working with her clients to navigate through it in a respectful and productive manner. Chastity has a unique approach to working with her clients that combines her proven intellect, profound emotional intelligence, and traditional Indigenous knowledge. She understands mainstream organizational culture as well as Indigenous governance and applies this knowledge when she is in the strategic advisory role. She is highly collaborative, a deep listener, and has a knack for building relationships. Chastity will enhance any communications plan, policy development, gender-based analysis research, or political campaign.
